Essay

The object - H-resonator-based ion linear accelerator. The goal – provision of physical rationale for the choice of a HF generator system for a resonant ion linear accelerator, which would ensure stabilization of excited axially symmetric HF fields between drift tubes and multipactor phenomena suppression. Methods – charged particle beam physics, physics of instruments, elements, and systems, high and superhigh frequency physics and engineering. Results – a HF system for stabilization of axially symmetric fields between drift tubes in a compact deutron linear accelerator has been developed in which the operation of a powerful PC is regulated by voltages of two independent positive feedbacks; an experimental research method for high frequency oscillation competition and multipactor phenomena development conditions in an ion linear accelerator excited by a new HF system has been proposed for the first time; further development of a diode gap model, shunted by the active resistance of SE multipacting, as part of a lamp triode and a separate a resonant contour. Scope – ion linear accelerator physics
