Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solve the scientific and practical task of designing the models and information technology for learning intensification in a distributed virtual space by building an individual learning path based on the use of the compara-tor identification method and the development of algebraic-logical models of learning individualization. The current state of distributed virtual learning systems, their key tasks, ad-vantages and disadvantages are analysed. The analytical review of e-learning prob-lems allowed identifying the main approaches to their solution. Existing mathematical means of representing domain objects for building an individual learning path are analysed. Thus the choice of mathematical tools is substantiated. Solving the task of building an individual learning path in a distributed virtual environment, the use of the tools of algebra of finite predicates and methods of the theory of intelligence is proposed. The algebraic-logical models of learning individualization for adaptive hyper-media computer systems are designed. The proposed model provides the opportunity to select educational materials on the basis of quantitative characteristics and taking into account the mutual influence of studying various topics. The model of a hyper-media learning space is improved by designing a system of equations of finite predicates algebra which allows simplifying the mechanism of material representation and testing as well as increasing the adaptability of learning and testing processes. Based on the use of the method of cognitive maps and tools of finite predicates algebra, the formal description of the structure of navigation rules for building an in-dividual learning path in adaptive e-learning systems has got the further development which allows reducing the time for constructing the e-course structure in accordance with the individual needs of the user. The logical model for structuring the content of educational materials is improved by introducing predicates of equivalence of document content and equivalence of concepts. The information technology for building an individual learning path is improved which allows automating the e-learning resources processing and improving the learning process by defining the features and attributes of educational objects and personalizing learners. The research results are implemented in the practice of designing real e-learning systems for Kharkiv enterprises, as well as in the educational process of the Depart-ment of Intelligent Computer Systems of NTU “KhPI” and the Department of Soft-ware Engineering of NURE. Thus, the results of the dissertation can be used for network organizations, par-ticularly in education, for the purpose of choosing individual learning paths, especial-ly in conditions of resource shortage.
