Essay

The work is devoted to the actual topic of thoracic surgery - improving the results of treatment of patients with multiple and flotating rib fractures by anticipating the development of the inflammatory process in the pleural cavity of the chest wall, accelerating the processes of osteoregeneration and the use of mini-invasive surgical techniques. The use of EHF irradiation of the thorax by the generator G4-142, the radiation regime is continuous, the output power is 10 mW, the wavelength is 7.1 mm from 1 to 14 days of the experiment for 20 minutes per day allows to improve the processes of bone tissue regeneration (bone mazole formation by 21 days ) and reduce the number of inflammatory complications from the pleural cavity. Application of the proposed approach to conservative treatment of patients with closed chest trauma allowed reducing the number of acute pneumonia by 3.8%, and avoiding the development of acute pleural empyema in patients of the main group. With the use of complex treatment in patients of the main group, using the projection minimally invasive approaches, EHF chest irradiation allowed to reduce the number of postoperative acute pneumonia by 8.3%, postoperative acute pleural empyema by 6.24%, osteomyelitis of the ribs by 4.17% and avoid suppuration of the anterior thoracic wall in patients of the main group. Conducting complex treatment of patients from the main group allowed to reduce by 2 times the number of deaths after surgical interventions relative to patients of the comparison group.
