The thesis is devoted to the complex study and analysis of the legal nature of international economic sanctions as an integral element in the mechanism of public order exception in private international law. The Chapter 1 of the thesis describes the general characteristics of the legal nature of international economic sanctions, its types and grounds for the application. The author analyzed some separate programs of international economic sanctions of the European Union and programs of international economic sanctions of the USA including step-by-step mechanisms of an appeal of international economic sanctions both by physical and legal persons. The Chapter 2 of the thesis defines the origin of the idea of public order, its historical development in the continental and Anglo-Saxon systems of law. The author established a modern understanding, constituent elements, and types of public order in the system of private international law. A particular attention is devoted to the issue of interpretation of the regional public order in the light of activity of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
