Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of pathological mechanisms of nitric oxide system, antioxidant glutathione system in lungs and blood in experimental allergic alveolitis before and after correction by thiotriazolinum. The changes of the nitric oxide system and antioxidant system in lungs and blood were first established on the 34th and 44th days of experimental allergic alveolitis and their participation in the mechanisms of this disease was proved. It was shown for the first time that this pathology is characterized by the accumulation of stable metabolites of nitric oxide, increased activity of inducible nitrogen oxide synthase, circulating immune complexes, with a decrease in the content of L-arginine in the lungs on 34th and on the 44th day. The accumulation of lipoperoxidation products has been established with decreasing activity of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase and glutathione transferase, the level of reduced glutathione in lungs and blood on 34th and 44th days. The expediency of the use of antioxidants on the 44th day of development of experimental allergic alveolitis has been proved.
