Tymochko B. Names of the environment in Ukrainian-Moldavian charters of the XIV – XV centuries.

Due to the considerable amount of processed documents of Moldavian offices, for the first time, a number of lexemes, which were not included in previously published lexicographic works, was included in the scientific circulation; the discovered in Ukrainian-Moldavian charters lexemes allowed to expand the data on their localization, since by this time they were known from written records of the Old Ukrainian language from other territories; the date of the first fixation of a considerable number of nomens is specified. The structure, lexico-semantic composition, sources of formation and features of the nomens’ functioning, forming the thematic group of vocabulary «Names of the environment», are found out. For the nomination of environmental objects in Ukrainian-Moldavian charters, 290 names, forming 285 lexico-semantic structural units, were used. The beginning of the division of the thematic group of vocabulary «Names of the environment» is the inner distinguishing of two lexico-semantic groups: «Names of the inorganic environment» and «Names of the organic environment».
