Object – BUSINESS concept sphere in Soviet and post-Soviet journalistic discourse; aim – to define the particularity of BUSINESS concept sphere verbalization in Soviet and post-Soviet journalism as well as inquire into its interconnections with other concept spheres; methods – descriptive, comparative, component and contextual, discursive, conceptual, stylistic, pragmatic; novelty – one of the central concept spheres in modern Ukrainian linguistic world image (BUSINESS concept sphere) is studied comprehensively, language items that objectify concepts included in it in the language of Soviet and post-Soviet journalism are described systematically, the changes in BUSINESS concept sphere and its components’ semantic structure are defined taking into account linguistic and extralinguistic factors, the types of semantic interrelation of BUSINESS concept sphere with other concept spheres of Ukrainian Soviet and post-Soviet world images; results – can be used for compiling thesauruses, lexical innovation dictionaries as well as preparing courses and special courses of the Ukrainian language, cognitive linguistics, language of journalism, stylistics, pragmatic linguistics, discourse linguistics etc. in higher educational establishments; field – philology.
