Us H. Ukrainian Family Law Terminology: Genesis and Structural-System Organisation

Object – Ukrainian family law terminology; aim – to determine the regularities of establishment of modern Ukrainian family law terminology, to define the specific features of its formation and system organization; methods – descriptive, comparative, method of component analysis, of definition analysis, logical-notional analysis; novelty – for the first time in Ukrainian terminology studies, a complex research of modern Ukrainian family law terminology is carried out in the synchronic and diachronic aspects; basing on the analysis of considerable representative material its formation periods during the 1900-s– 2010-s are singled out and characterised; its composition and sources of development are defined; the term groups of the family law term system are marked out and characterised; structural-semantic features of the analysed terms are defined, their hypo-hyperonymic, antonymous and synonymous links are described; results – the materials of the research can be used in teaching the courses “Lexicology”, “History of the Ukrainian Language”, “Legal Linguistics”, courses dealing with the problems of modern Ukrainian terminology as well as in writing monographs, textbooks in terminology and terminography, in composing dictionaries of law terms; field – philology.
