Piddubnyi S. Government policy in the field of family protection in the conditions of the socio-political crisis of Ukraine (by the example of Donetska Oblast).

Object: state policy in the sphere of family protection in Ukraine; purpose: politological analysis of state policy of Ukraine in the sphere of social protection of a family in terms of social and political crisis in Ukraine on the example of Donetsk oblast; methods: the main theoretical approaches to the study of government policy in the field of family protection in conditions of the socio-political crisis of Ukraine are characterized. On the basis of scientists’ experience generalization, an own approach to the definition of such notions as "government policy", "family" and "socio-political crisis" is developed. The main scientific developments and sources on the problem under study are classified. On the basis of the analysis of key methods and approaches of scientific knowledge, the methodological base of the research is formed; novelty: determined by the complex of tasks set for the research. On the basis of the thorough analysis of a wide range of sources of information, the comprehensive politological research on state policy in the field of family support in conditions of the aggravation of the socio-political crisis in 2013 – 2018 by the example of Donetska Oblast was carried out. In the course of the research, the following findings were obtained which have the scientific novelty value and characterize the author's personal contribution: the comprehensive politological research on state policy in the field of social protection of the family in conditions of the socio-political crisis and military aggression against Ukraine by the example of Donetska Oblast was carried out; the mechanisms of state support of socially vulnerable groups of families (internally displaced people affected by the antiterrorist operation, families of combatants) which were formed as a result of the aggravation of the socio-political crisis and military aggression were explored; the relationship between the family policy and the process of decentralization of political power was revealed. improved: the conceptual-categorical apparatus of state policy study in the field of social protection of the family by defining the notions "state family policy" and "family" which correspond to realities of the Ukrainian socio-political process under conditions of the crisis; the analysis of mechanisms of the crisis phenomena’s impact on the state policy in the field of family protection, on the transformation of state and regional authorities; the characteristic of directions, mechanisms of state policy in the field of social protection of the family by bringing in statistical data. developed further: the systematization of scientific knowledge related to legal regulation of the operation of the system of political institutions in the field of social protection of the family at the regional and state levels; the analysis of institutional bases for the formation and development of government policy in the field of social support of the family; the impact of the socio-political crisis on the transformation of government policy in the field of family protection. The received results could be used in carrying out further research of the social and political crisis in Ukraine.
