Kardash A. Constitutional and legal protection of personal information (comparative legal aspect).

The personal information as the object of constitutional and legal regulations is characterized, the essence of the right to privacy and personal information is elucidated; the classification of personal information is accomplished. The relation of the terms "personal information” and" personal data "is established. The subject-matter of the constitutional and legal protection of personal information is presented. Modern models of the protection of personal information in foreign countries are given and the necessity of implementing a mixed model in Ukraine is substantiated. The limits of appropriate protection are defined, in particular, taking into account the status of public persons as well as the status and practice of specialized bodies in the field of protection of personal information are revealed.
