The thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of the psychopoetic peculiarities of the artworks by Hryhir Tiutiunnyk. The work reveals the main concepts of psychopoetics. It determines and complements psycholiterary tools, such as psychopoetics, psychoautobiography, psychostructure, megatext, psychophysiognomy. An attempt to differentiate between staginess and theatricality has been made. We considered the origin of author’s identity formation: the influence of macro- and microenvironment. We examined the character and temperament of Hryhir Tiutiunnyk as the main constituents of the identity’s psychostructure. The Oedipus complex, caused by the fact that author’s mother was unfaithful to his father, was determined to be dominating in psychosphere of Hryhir Tiutiunnyk. We defined the correlation between the peculiarities of psychostructure and artistry. Analysis of the creative heritage of Hryhir Tiutiunnyk assures that the main characters of his works possess the same character features as the author himself. The father’s character (search for father) deserves special attention in author’s life and creative works. Most of the teenage characters were found to be in a state, called in this research «in search for father». It is determined that the social atmosphere directly influences psychoemotional state of personality. In spite of social and economic factors, which are absolutely pertinent in works by Hryhir Tiutiunnyk, the author addresses the basics of spirituality. The landmark situation of the XX century became the time of changes in all the spheres of the identity’s existence, stimulus to reinterpretation of the life principles, as well as viewpoints to existence, history and religion. Hryhir Tiutiunnyk also was interested in women’s psychology. In the author’s creative world the woman is embodied in the character of mother, wife, lover, companion. But all the women, created by the author’s imagination, are connected by victimologic aspect of the character formation. We generalized that the artistic thinking is a peculiar kind of thinking, which refers to creation of unique artworks with high aesthetic value. The peculiarities of artistic thinking, found to be common to Hryhir Tiutiunnyk: antinomy, emotionality and sensitivity, presence of intellectual talent, syntheticity (symbiosis of painting and music in artworks), lyricism and staginess.
