Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the epidemiological features of leptospirosis and to the improvement of the modern system of epidemiological surveillance in Ukraine. The paper presents materials on the epidemiological and epizootic features of leptospirosis in Ukraine and the Chernivtsi region, and provides a description of lethality in leptospirosis in Ukraine. The study identified factors that increase the risk of lethality in leptospirosis. The level of influence of social and biological factors on the level of morbidity has been determined according to the results of the study using the multifactor correlation-regression analysis. Using mathematical modeling of morbidity in leptospirosis in Ukraine and in Chernivtsi region a logarithmic regression equation was developed. It allows to predict the level of morbidity on leptospirosis at regional levels. The estimation of the system of epidemiological surveillance was provided, the necessity of the epidemiological surveillance of leptospirosis based on the principle of "One Health" was substantiated. The scheme of interaction of tangential structures in the system of epidemiological surveillance of leptospirosis is developed, which will promote the effective introduction of priority preventive and anti-epidemic measures.
