Kudryavska N. Insurance mediation in ensuring the sustainable development of the financial services market in Ukraine

The paper comprehensively discloses the content of insurance mediation through the use of a three-level approach to their functional purpose at the micro-, meso and macroeconomic levels. Facet and hierarchical classification of insurance intermediaries is proposed. The role of insurance intermediation in ensuring sustainable development of the market of financial services is outlined. The retrospective analysis is carried out and the current state and perspective aspects of changes of financial and legal support of insurance mediation in the context of European integration aspirations of Ukraine are defined. An analytical review of the development of direct insurance mediation in recent years has been carried out, its future prospects have been clarified based on the calculation of basic indicators. On the basis of the SWOT-analysis strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats of direct insurance mediation in Ukraine have been identified. The research describes the potential of influence of indirect insurance intermediaries on the sustainable development of the insurance market, and through it, on the market of financial services.
