Mosur O. Microtoponymy of the end of XVIII – the beginning of XIX cc.: Sambirskyy cyrkul.

The thesis is the first effort of lexical-semantic and structural-derivational analysis of microtoponyms of Sambirskyy cyrkul of the end of XVIII – the beginning of XIX cc. (on the material of onyms fixed in Josyphinska (1785–1788) and Francyscanska (1819–1820) metrics). The meaning and features of the concept of ˮmicrotoponymˮ is presented. It is separated lingual and extra lingual features of microtoponymy. Metrics are analyzed as a source of research of microtoponymy of Sambirskyy cyrkul. Methodology of processing the historical microtoponymy, methods of selecting onyms from the context of metrics are proposed. Lexical-semantic analysis of creating stems of proper names of microobjects shows that propriatives are motivated by two groups of words: appellatives and onyms. Structure of historical microtoponymy is analyzed. Proper names of Sambirskyy cyrkul are divided into simple, complex, compound onyms and prepositional forms. Structural-derivational changes of microtoponymy of region for the thirty-year period are described. It is selected phonetic, word-formation, lexical, morphological, syntactic, graphic and combined variants of names of microobjects. The results obtained in the dissertation on the motivational bases of proper names and the structural-word-building features of onyms are evidence that microtoponyms reflect socio-historical, economic, and cultural facts of the inhabitants of the region.
