Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of the pathogenetic role of the oxidative stress in the development and course of different pulmonary tuberculosis variants. The clinical and laboratory observations were performed on 136 people, out of which 83 were patients with different forms of pulmonary tuberculosis. The control group consisted of 53 people. For the first time the state of the antioxidant system in tuberculosis infection was evaluated in accordance with the data of the laser correlation spectroscopy in the population of the inhabitants of the Odessa region, separately and in correlation with the state of the immune system and the functional state of the liver. The obtained data lay the theoretical foundation for the creation of effective means of predicting the course of pulmonary tuberculosis, the optimization of the treatment and the reduction of the risk of adverse outcomes. The main result of the work is considered to be the increase of the efficiency of the complex treatment of patients with tuberculosis using the pathogenetic approach while taking into account the specific role of the oxidizing factor in the formation of the disease.
