Hlukhovska M. Associative-Comparative Motivation of Ukrainian Word-Formation Innovations in the Area of Noun

Object – a noun derivative-innovations that appeared in the Ukrainian language from the end of the ХХ century; purpose – to identify the base causes of some choice of motivational features of new derivatives of noun word-building categories, means, methods and mechanisms for their embodiment; methods – descriptive, comparative-comparative, method of component analysis, differential, method of quantitative calculations, methods of linguistic modeling; novelty – derivative innovations with associative and comparative motivation are systematically investigated within the framework of noun word-building categories; the author determined internal and external factors that influence to the choice of motivational attributes, the predominant means of implementing associative-comparative motivation, the consequences for the word-formation of the Modern Ukrainian Language and found the productive and unproductive methods and means of creating specific analyzed derivatives and noun word-building categories in general; the results determine possibilities of using the theoretical apparatus of word-building innovation and the results will be obtained in the further study of word-formation phenomena in the Ukrainian language. The material itself and ways of its processing can be used during the conclusion and conducting of training courses in word formation and lexicology, special courses on innovation and the theory of word formation, in some improvement of practice to complete word-formation dictionaries, in comparative studies of different languages;the field – philology.
