Teslitska H. Semantics and syntagmatic relations of simple sentences with semipredicative adjectival components in Ukrainian

The research focuses on the study of the phenomenon of syntactic complication of a simple sentence structure by semipredicative adjectival components (traditionally known as detached participle and verbal adverb phrases) with the inherent potential predicativeness. The scientific novelty of the research results consists in the definition of SAC based on its formally-grammatical, semantic-syntactical and functional features. The establishment of basic types of realization of semantic-syntactical relations between primary and secondary propositions. The typology of models of valency efficiency of the adjective has been offered; multi-componential combinations of a secondary predicate with substantival syntaxemes (subjective, objective, addressed, instrumental, locative) have been distinguished as well as adverbial syntaxemes with temporal, causative, concessive, purpose, conditional, comparative and characterizing meanings.
