Lytvynenko Y. Ornithological Names in the Eastern Polish Dialect: Structure and Spatial Variations.

For the first time in the linguistics the given thesis gives an insight into a comprehensive study of ornithological names of the Ukrainian Eastern Polish dialects. There was developed the structure of the Names of Birds Semantic Group Vocabulary, as well as there was revealed stable system paradigmatic and epidigmatic connections between the components. The given thesis investigated motivated and unmotivated names, lexical units with double motivation and polymotivated names; there were found out the naming principle of birds. There were revealed and thoroughly analyzed the types of spatial behavior of the names of birds, at the same time there were proved integral and differential lexical traits, which define the dialectal zones of the investigated continuum.
