The dissertation is the first in Ukraine comprehensive historical and legal research of criminal legal support for counteraction to organized crime (in substantiated chronological boundaries), in which, with the use of archived sources newly introduced into scientific circulation, modern methods of cognition, the basic provisions of the criminal legal doctrine of Ukraine, the latest achievements of history – legal science formulated theoretical conclusions about the understanding of the essence of organized crime; historical and legal generalizations on the nature and sources of organized crime in soviet Ukraine; the prospects of the historical and legal study of criminal legal support for counteraction to organized crime in Ukraine in the current conditions of the transformation of Ukrainian society and the state are defined.
