The dissertation is devoted to the systematic analysis of legal education in Ukraine and in the world. The essence and formulation of the concept of legal education are defined, their goals, functions, principles, types are described. particular attention is paid to the study of categories "mechanism of legal education" and "mechanism of management of the legal process"; factors that determine the specificity of legal education in different types of legal systems; European experience of primary and secondary legal education; the priorities of legal education in a transitional society and in conditions of social mobility.
