The dissertation is the first comparative legal study of criminal legal counteraction to the robbery under the new criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia in national science of criminal law, taking into account trends in the development of liability for criminal offenses. The dissertation describes the socio-criminological prerequisites for criminalizing the composition of the robbery. Features of comparative legal analysis methodology of criminal responsibility for robbery are considered. The peculiarities of formation and development of criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia in the area of responsibility for robberies are determined. The description of the object of the main corpus delicti of robbery under the criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia is given. The actus reus of the robbery according to the criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia is considered. The peculiarities of the subject matter of the structure of the robbery under the criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia are determined. Subjects of robbery at the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and the Criminal Code of Ukraine are characterized. A distinction was made between the qualified corpus delict of the robbery under the criminal legislation of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia. Certain special cases of competition of norms during qualification of robbery are determined. The theoretically substantiated proposals on the improvement of certain norms of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia concerning liability for mercenary-violent crimes, taking into account the positive legislative experience of the Republic of Armenia, are formulated.
