Balanchuk T. The Pharmacognostic study of Carduus nutans L., Carduus acanthoides L. of Ukraine flora and obtaining substances that based on it

For the first time the pharmacognostic research of Carduus L. species genus Carduus nutans L. and Carduus acanthoides L. were carried out. Also for the first time hepatoprotective, antioxydative, detoxicative substances were obtained. The composition and contain of biologically activity compounds (essential oils, ascorbinic acid, tannins, flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids, carotenoids, aminoacids, fatty oils, lipophilic compounds, polysaccharides, inorganic elements, nitrates) were studied. The technology of obtaining of the liophylical extracts from the inflorescens of Carduus nutans L. was developed. The projects of the quality control of the Carduus nutans L. herbs «Herba Carduus nutans L.» and «Herbae Carduus nutans L. extractum liophylicum» were proposed. The nontoxicity and the pharmacology activities (hepatoprotective, antioxydative and detoxicative) of the obtained extracts from Carduus nutans L. and Carduus acanthoides L. were proposed. The reference drug was «Carsil»®.
