Starchenko G. Pharmacognostic investigation of Calluna vulgaris (L.) Hull

Thesis is devoted to pharmacognostic research of Calluna vulgaris (L.) herb. With the help of modern methods of analysis in the researched raw material the qualitative composition and quantitative content of the main BAS groups was determined: free and bound sugars, amino acids, carboxylic acids, polyphenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins metabolites, hydroxycinnamic acids, volatile compounds, phytosterols, carboxylic acids, saponins, arbutin. The optimal parameters of BAS extraction from Calluna vulgaris (L.) were developed dry extracts were obtained. Acute toxicity, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, neurotropic, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects of extracts were investigated. On the basis of the results of the obtained research of Calluna vulgaris (L.) the projects of QCM «Calluna vulgaris (L.) herb» was developed.
