Voloshyn O. Building technologies and morphogenesis in the architecture of the Ukrainian avant-garde (on the examples of Kharkiv 1920 - 1930s)

Object: design solutions, building materials and technological techniques that formed the material basis of buildings and complexes - a monument of avant-garde architecture; goal: to determine the stages of formation and peculiarities of structure of technological base of architecture of Ukrainian avant-garde - construction industry of 1920s - 1930s, character of its influence on architectural formation on the examples of capital Kharkiv; methods: the research methodology is based on the systematization of the received factual material - description of technological processes, drawing up of chronological tables, comparison of groups of qualitative and quantitative indicators were used; novelty: new data on technological base of Kharkiv construction were introduced to scientific circulation for the first time in the period of avant-garde architecture and development; a theoretical model of knowledge systematization for the architectural monument of the avant-garde has been developed, which expands the information field for conducting historical and architectural studies of the monuments of Ukrainian avant-garde architecture; the method of stylistic attribution of the architecture of the studied period is specified, in particular on the basis of determining the connections between formal-compositional and technological features; further development of time frames of research of avant-garde architecture on the basis of revealing the facts of the emergence of a number of technological methods in the period before World War I, as well as the presence of the interdependence of composite-forming and structural-technological components of the technological base of Kharkov construction during the formation of architecture; results: recommendations were developed for the use of the acquired knowledge about the connection of formation with technological base of avant-garde architecture; the degree of implementation: theory of architecture, restoration of architectural monuments; branch: architecture.
