Antonenko N. Modern architecture monument in the context of architectural culture in the 2d half of the 20th century

Object: the formation and development of the theory and practice of conservation of monuments of modern architecture and urban planning; goals: to trace the formation of professional ideas about the monuments of modern architecture and urban planning and the formation of relevant practices in the cultural activities of the 20th century, taking into account the tasks of preserving Ukranian modernist heritage; methods: the study is based on the presentation of the architectural culture and activity monuments as systems of activity and thinking, uses the institutional approach, the methods of historical and genetic research; novelty: a holistic historical study of the preservation of the architectural heritage of the 19th - 20th centuries was carried out in the context of the development of architectural culture of the 20th century; the prerequisites and main factors of the formation of the concept of a modern architecture monument are identified; a comparative analysis is made, which allowed us to trace the evolution of the process of forming ideas about the modern architecture monument; exemplary conservation practices are described and key institutional forms that these practices have received so far have been identified; clarified periodization of the development of the concept; measures are proposed to protect the heritage of modern architecture in Ukraine; results: A circle of architects who made a decisive contribution to the development of research and the protection of the legacy of the Modern Movement was identified; the points of view and dynamics of changes in views on the modern architecture monument in their internal contraversion are found; the content of the situation in which objects begin to act as monuments is disclosed; the main causes and circumstances that accompanied the formation of ideas about the modern monument are established; the interconnections between the main periods of the transformation of the architectural culture of the 20th century and key events in comprehending and establishing practices for the protection of modern monuments are traced; prospects for the development of monuments and conservation activities in relation to the heritage of Ukrainian architectural modernism are outlined; degree of application: theory of architecture; branch: architecture
