Essay

On the basis of a wide range of sources and materials, the basic aspects of the history of formation and development of foreign policy concepts of the Republic of Poland concerning Ukraine have been comprehensively investigated since the establishment of good neighborly relations between the two states until 2010, when there were dramatic changes in interstate relations. The dissertation analyzed the evolution of the foreign policy concepts of the Republic of Poland concerning Ukraine and the presidential influence on the development of Polish-Ukrainian relations and, as a consequence, the transformation to the level of strategic partnership. Much attention has been paid to various aspects of interstate engagement, highlighting the political, economic, social and, most debatable, memory policies and complex pages of the shared historical past.
