Sokurenko V. Criminological Characteristic and Counteracting Crime in the Sphere of Physical Culture and Sport

Dissertation is devoted to a complex criminological characteristic of crime in the sphere of physical culture and sport and its counteraction in Ukraine. For the first time criminological model of crime in the sphere of physical culture and sport and its counteraction was elaborated. It encompasses systemized data on the state of criminological phenomena and epiphenomena of this sphere, reflects perseverance of their high rates, as well as latency equating more than 99 %, adverse dynamics, complex structure, which can be characterized by the prevalence of corruption trends, betting and gambling. The dissertation elaborates typology of persons committing crime in the sphere of physical culture and sport based on three criteria: main motive, character of criminal activity, strength and steadiness of antisocial attitudes of criminal personality. The dissertation ascertains, depicts and explains social-economic, cultural-psychological, legal and organizational-administrative factors of crime in the sphere of physical culture and sport. Also the dissertation elaborates generally social, special criminological and individual measures of crime counteraction the sphere of physical culture and sport.
