Dissertation for the Candidate Degree in Sociology, specialty 22.00.04 – special and branch sociology. – Classic Private University, Zaporozhye, 2019. The dissertation is devoted to a sociological study of regional peculiarities of social practices of modern Ukrainian youth (on the example of Zaporizhzhya and Ternopil regions). The concept of «social practice» is interpreted as a set of social actions and interactions of social actors, determined by socio-status and normative-value regulators and generated by habit through the agent's understanding of schemes of interpretations of social reality. Sociocultural and life-long factors of formation and reproduction of social practices of modern youth are determined. It is revealed that the regional specificity of social practices of modern youth is due to such factors as the dominance of materialistic, industrial and traditional values in the structure of the value consciousness of youth; it has been established that youth self-identification is related to the characteristics of dominant regional identity in the context of the local socio-cultural framework, but national factors prevail and regional ones play a subordinate role.
