Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of the features of vertebral artery syndrome in young patients with biomechanical spinal disorders and myofascial pain dysfunction of the cervico-brachial region. The development of vertebral artery syndrome in young individuals is associated with the formation of forward head posture, which causes the overload of the extensor muscles of the head and neck, forming myofascial trigger points in them, restriction of mobility of the craniocervical and cervicothoracic junctions and the development of hypermobility of the mid-cervical segments. The features of arterial and venous hemodynamics were determined depending on the clinical form of the vertebral artery syndrome, the severity of spine pathobiomechanical changes and myofascial pain dysfunction. It is proved that therapy aimed at restoring optimal statics and elimination of myofascial pain dysfunction in the cervico-brachial region can eliminate the reflex and irritative influence on vertebral arteries, that leads to regression of subjective and objective manifestations of vertebro-basilar insufficiency, improvement of arterial and venous hemodynamics.
