Essay

Object – the processes of legitimation of state power. The objective – revealing the specifics of the processes of legitimation of state power in the context of international politics through the lens of political and legal discourse. Methods – the system, the structural and functional analysis, the comparative-historical, the comparative, the statistical, the formal-legal. The theoretical and practical results – revealing the specificity of the processes of legitimation of state power in the dimensions of international politics. The novelty – for the first time demonstrated a shift in the priority of the principles of legitimization of state power under the influence of the system of international relations; key directions for effective implementation of legitimation policy strategies; it is justified that democracy has so far been effective only within the framework of nation-states; states that in today's liberal democracy, the most common are the processes of legitimation through the principles of human rights and popular sovereignty; arguments for the need for a cosmopolitan democracy have been further developed; have further developed the justification for the possibilities of the democratic process to create social integration and to produce a universal political culture; identifying ways to become a post-national civil society and a post-national public sphere. The rate of implementation – development of specific recommendations on the analysis of the processes of legitimation of state power in the dimensions of international politics. The scope of application – the power structures; political parties; the NGOs; the analytical and educational activities.
