Essay

The dissertation research presents the results of calculations of the neutron kinetics of a fast subcritical nuclear reactor and a thermonuclear neutron source. This system of a hybrid reactor can be used to reduce the number of long-lived transuranium elements that make up the spent nuclear fuel of thermal nuclear reactors. A thermonuclear neutron source can be used for material science purposes. In particular, the physical justification for choosing a system to reduce the number of long-lived radioactive waste was done. A number of auxiliary tasks were also additionally solved.
