The dissertation present the solution of the important scientifically applied problem of suicide prevention among prisoners in correctional colonies of Ukraine in particular, defines the concept and describes suicide among prisoners, as a phenomenon that exists at two levels – abstract (mass and statistically stable) and concrete (individual) , determined its causes and socially dangerous consequences, defined and provided a scientific description of the main directions of suicide prevention among prisoners in the correctional colonies of Ukraine.
