Khanovych Y. Legal regulation of parental maintenance obligations towards children

The dissertation constitutes comprehensive scientific research of legal regulation of child care obligations towards minors. The analysis of the state of scientific development of legal regulation of child care obligations towards minors is implemented, a methodology for carrying out the corresponding study is outlined, the development of legal regulation of child care is traced along with the international legal standards in the field of legal regulation of child care obligations towards minors. The concept is articulated and the essence of child care obligations towards minors is investigated, the grounds for the emergence and the cessation of child care obligations towards their children are identified and analyzed. The voluntary and compulsory enforcement of child care obligations towards minors is examined as well as the forms of parents’ liability for failure to comply with or improper performance of child care. The suggestions for improving certain legal provisions are implemented on the basis of analysis the scientific doctrine and the current family legislation of Ukraine.
