Essay

The object of the study is the process of forming three-dimensional images of human faces in medical systems. The purpose of the study is to increase the efficiency of plastic and reconstructive operations at the expense of highly realistic, highly productive reproduction of human face with new models, methods and means. Research methods: theory of numbers and numerical methods; theory of algorithms; theory of interpolation of functions; methods of analytical geometry, linear algebra, differential and integral calculus for the development of models and methods of visualization of faces; computer simulation for analysis and validation of theoretical findings. Theoretical results: for the first time a method of coloring a person's face is proposed, the peculiarity of which is the adaptive use of second- and third-degree polynomials to determine the intensities of color in different areas of the face image; first developed physically correct models of surface reflectance based on a cosine model, the peculiarity of which is the observance of the law of energy conservation in the formation of face images; further development of the cosine model of reflectivity of the surface of a person's face, which, unlike the classical one, used the rise of distributive function to a lesser degree; the method of reconstruction of the human face according to stereopair data, which, unlike the existing one, uses analytical perturbation functions, and uses the recursive division of the object space for the search of functions describing the object; further development was obtained by Cook-Torrence and Vard models, which differ from the known ones when calculating only one function and smaller polynomials; new modifications of the Schlick surface reflectivity model for forming images of human faces have been developed, which differs from the known adaptive change in the degree of function depending on the speculative coefficient and the introduction of normative coefficients. The practical results are the development of a complex of software and hardware for the formation of three-dimensional images of a person's face, in particular: a software module for testing the developed models and methods on the basis of a professional graphic conveyor idx3d; a computer program for the reconstruction of the ZD models; programs for determining the coefficients of specularity of a person's face; software module for morphological analysis of face images and rapid diagnostics; software module for the analysis of three-dimensional models of the human head; structural diagrams of devices for color formation on a person's face; structural diagram of the system for the formation of three-dimensional images of human faces (heads). Degree of implementation - research results are used at enterprises and organizations: Research Institute for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, to improve the efficiency of reconstructive operations, optimal selection of implants, conduct rapid diagnostics of morphological features of the face; Ukrainian Military Medical Academy to increase the realism and productivity of forming three-dimensional images of a person's face; PMIPP "Photonics Plus" for enhancing the realism and productivity of forming three-dimensional images of human face; LLC "3D Generation Yue" to increase the realism of 3D image formation; at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Vinnitsa National Technical University for use in the teaching process in teaching relevant disciplines. Sphere (field) of use - medicine.
