Thesis presents theoretical and experimental material on improving the technology of keeping bee families in honey harvesting from sunflower in conditions of Zhytomyr region. A technological map was developed and new methods for increasing the strength of bee families to the main honeycombs period were proposed. The rational use of the forage base of sunflower honey under conditions of contamination was under research. The efficiency of the use of stimulating feeding on the basis of radioactively clean as well as contaminated sunflower honey in winter-spring period and its impact on development features, intensity of breeding and productivity of bee families were determined. The qualitative indicators as well as the content of heavy metals and 137Cs in sunflower honey obtained in the conditions of Polissya of Zhytomyr region, were explored. The bactericidal and bacteriostatic properties of centrifugal, honeycomb and non-fermented sunflower honey with respect to typical crops of Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Salmonella typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus were established. The author carried out the research of the antioxidant activity of sunflower honey and feeding products. Proposed technological map and bee-feeding system in early spring allows to prepare families for the main honeycombs and to increase the profitability of honey production by 11.2 %.
