Essay

The thesis is devoted to theoretical synthesis and the latest solution of the actual scientific and practical problem of modern biological and medical pathology physiology - the role of antioxidants in the pathogenesis of rhinitis of various geneses, which allows pathogenetically substantiate the principles of correction of this pathological process. The pathophysiological, biochemical, immunological, histomorphological methods of investigation concerning the determination of rhinitis mechanisms of various geneses and pathogenetic substantiation of the use of local antioxidant agents of natural origin have been carried out. The expediency and feasibility of using the gel "Imbirol" and the "Pinosol" ointment in rhinitis have theoretically substantiated and experimentally confirmed due to proven mechanisms of action on the prooxidant-antioxidant and immune links of pathogenesis. It is verified that the use of local antioxidant agents reduces the severity of morphological signs of rhinitis: focal necrotic-destructive changes, proliferative inflammatory reactions in the plate, hypersecretion of epithelial cells of the mucosal and serous glands of the submucosal layer on models of chemical and bacterial rhinitis in experimental animals. The obtained results give pathogenetic explanation to the possibility and appropriateness for application of local drugs with antioxidative activity – «Imbirol» gel and «Pinosol» ointment – for the treatment of acute aseptic and bacterial rhinitis conditions.
