Andrusiak U. Principles of functional and planning reorganization of castle complexes on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk region

In the thesis the actual problem of preservation and use of castle complexes (castles in conjunction with surrounding buildings and landscape as part of historical and architectural integrity) for new functions is investigated. The scientific methodological approach was further developed. According to this approach the algorithm of complex rating estimation of factors of influence on reorganization of castle complexes is substantiated. As these factors predetermine the new functional use of the object of study and the determination of the security zones of the castle complexes. This approach also takes into account areas of visual perception of objects of this type along the trajectory of tourist routes. The following principles of functional and planning reorganization of castle complexes are formulated. Practical recommendations for the nomenclature of facilities are offered. These guidelines are designed for the types of new functional adaptation of castle complexes.
