Novikova H. Environmental Museum as a phenomenon of modern cultural industries

The object of study – the museum as a social and cultural phenomenon. From the point of cultural studies, a comprehensive analysis of the preconditions of the appearance and tendencies of the development of a museum institution capable to museum the historical and cultural environment has been made. The specifics of the activity of environmental museums for the preservation and transmission of tangible (movable and immovable) and intangible cultural heritage have been revealed. The theoretical and methodological basis for studying the institution of the museum in the cultural paradigm, as well as the network of museums of Ukraine as a social and cultural phenomenon has been improved.
