Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the actual scientific and practical task of increasing the radioecological safety during the re-engineering of uranium enterprises. The analysis of literary data on environmental safety problems during re-engineering of uranium enterprises has been carried out. Classification of uranium enterprises of Ukraine by nature of activity is offered The results of the radiation survey of SE "EastGZK", Prydniprovsky chemical plant and LLC "East-Ruda" are presented. The estimation of the radioecological state of enterprises and their impact on the environment is given. On the basis of the generalization of the results of experimental and theoretical studies, the necessity of the development of technical solutions for increasing the radioecological safety during the transformation of uranium enterprises has been substantiated. The method of calculation of radiation doses of workers and population in areas that are contaminated with natural radionuclides is developed. In the work the analysis of radiation-contaminated objects has been carried out. An estimation of the radioecological state of uranium-mining enterprises after closure is made on the example of Pridneprovsky chemical plant m Kamienske and mines of LLC "East Ruda" in Zhovti Vody. Calculations of effective doses of irradiation of workers at industrial sites have been made. The analysis of the state of radiation-contaminated objects at the industrial site of the former JSC "Pridneprovsky chemical plant" was carried out. The results of monitoring of the environment on former uranium objects are presented. The technical measures and technology of filling the failure funnel of the former "Nova" uranium mine have been developed, and the technology of reclamation, final surface leveling and landscaping has been proposed. Keywords: radioecological safety, uranium enterprises, ionizing radiation, natural radionuclides, tailings, atmospheric pollution, effective dose, radium, radon, re-profiling.
