Znak I. Restoration of the Architectural and Spatial Structure of the Monasteries of the Order of St. Basil the Great in Western Ukraine

The dissertation presents theoretically grounded provisions on the characteristic features of architectural and spatial structure of OSBM monasteries by historical stages as well as a theoretical and practical model for the restoration of architectural and spatial structure of OSBM monasteries. The paper analyzes the experience of monastic architectural structures adaptation within the context of modern society and supplements the methodology for the study of OSBM. The author outlines the main directions and parameters of architectural and spatial structure transformation of OSBM monasteries under modern conditions. It is argued that legislation should be expanded or specified to identify the specifics of OSBM monasteries as an open system of dynamic visual and social communication.
