Nestertsova N. Peculiarity of reproductive function and perinatal pathology in women with low birth weight and overweight at birth

The scientific work is devoted to relationship between anomalous mass at birth and a number of features and pathological conditions of the female reproductive system in modern women. The world literature on this topic was analysed. The dynamics of changes in the proportion of newborns with low weight (4,3 %), as well as large infants (6,1 %), in the cohort of puerperal women of the Western Ukrainian region for the period 2006-2015, has been specified. The risk factors for the development of intrauterine retardation of growth are specified. It has been established that the restriction of protein intake of a woman during pregnancy, the presence of arterial hypertension, obesity, a low birth weight of a pregnant woman increases the risk of body weight deficiency in newborns. After processing the data, a scale of perinatal risk factors for low birth weight and overweight at birth women was presented, reflecting the possibility of certain complications of the perinatal period and could be used to shape the prognostic approach in pregnancy and to choose the method and terms of delivery. On the basis of the obtained data, a number of recommendations for the pre-gravidal preparation and support of pregnancy for women of the selected contingent have been developed, which have been introduced into practice and analysed their outcomes and effectiveness.
