Kovalchuk Z. Formation and development of the theoretical foundations of speech therapy in Ukraine (second half of XX century - beginning of XXI century)

The dissertation research is devoted to a holistic historical and pedagogical analysis of the formation and development of the theoretical foundations of speech therapy in Ukraine from 1944 to 2019. The study analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the correction of speech disorders, which were highlighted in the scientific works of Ukrainian scientists. Socio-political, socio-economic and organizational-pedagogical factors and a number of criteria that influenced the formation and development of the content of scientific activities of domestic scientists in the field of speech therapy, the form of its organization and implementation of research results are disclosed; prerequisites for the formation of the theoretical foundations of speech therapy in Ukraine are determined. On the basis of historical, logical and comparative analysis of the data obtained, author periodization is developed; The integral picture of the formation and development of the theoretical foundations of speech therapy in Ukraine is reflected. Historical and pedagogical facts that characterize the main trends, patterns and features of scientific activity in the field of speech therapy have been clarified and supplemented. Little-known and unknown archival materials, historical facts related to the development of theoretical foundations in speech therapy of Ukraine were introduced into scientific circulation.
