Zayinchkivska I. Ethno-religious dimensions of I. Ohienko's creative heritage

The dissertation, for the first time in the history of Ukrainian philosophical thought, has disclosed the peculiarities of the ethnoreligious component of I. Ohienko's intellectual work, has revealed the general line of scientific research of the scientist, and has shown that his scientific inquiry invariably revolved around the problems of establishing the Ukrainian ethnocultural identity. In addition, the paper defines I. Ohienko's vision of the role of language in the process of developing the cultural distinctiveness of Ukrainians, explicates the contradictions of its formation, identified by I. Ohienko, and reveals the importance of the Ukrainian literary language in the process of developing a homogeneous Ukrainian culture. Among other things, the theoretical potential of the historical and religious heritage of I. Ogienko has been determined and it has been shown that religion and the church in certain historical periods were important factors of cultural self-determination of all segments of the Ukrainian population. and defined their ethno-cultural identity.
