Sklyar O. Idea of freedom in the political doctrines of XVIII-XIX centuries.

The dissertation examines the formation, development and the essence of political freedoms as the highest social value and the indispensable condition of functioning of all other types of freedoms on the basis of the analysis of scientific works of the period from the 18th-19th centuries, in determining the practical significance of political freedoms in the researches of the given period for modern conditions. The operationalization of the concept of "political freedoms" made it possible to identify its place in the system of political categories and to determine the basic levels of measurement of the relevant phenomenon in a civilizational, philosophical, social, legal and political sense and their classification in content. Freedom in the political dimension is the realization of the interests of citizens in the political system of society.
