Essay

In the dissertation research, an urgent issue was solved, the essence of which consists in identifying the mechanisms of state regulation of the development of traditional and alternative medicine in Ukraine. A scientific concept of the development of traditional and alternative medicine in Ukraine has been developed, which is based on improving the organizational and legal foundations of its functioning and a new functional and organizational model for integrating traditional and alternative medicine into the national healthcare sector is substantiated. Its feature was the inclusion in the existing mechanisms of state regulation of qualitatively new elements (updating the regulatory framework for the regulation of traditional and alternative medicine; determining the optimal structure, functions, network and capacity of the departments of traditional and alternative medicine of medical and preventive institutions; wide educational activities among the population; efficient use of human resources; equipping units of alternative and alternative medicine according to modern requirements, etc.), which interaction between a system provided new integrative qualities concerning care. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the topic under study, it was established that «state regulation of traditional and alternative medicine» should be understood as a structurally functional complex of socio-economic, regulatory and organizational measures to ensure favorable conditions for the provision of high-quality multidisciplinary medical care to the population with using methods of alternative and alternative medicine. In Ukraine, they were further developed in the context of the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy: 2014–2023, which will benefit patients who wish to receive the necessary help at the right time from the specialist practitioner they need. The results of the study will contribute to the further development of priority areas of research on state regulation of traditional medicine in Ukraine, taking into account the degree of knowledge of this problem by Ukrainian scientists.
