Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of epidemiological features of viral infectious diseases with the drip mechanism of transmission of the pathogen (influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and measles) in the territories with the influence of ionizing radiation and improvement of the system of epidemiological surveillance of these infections. On the example of Kirovograd region and its administrative regions, where 3 uranium mining enterprises operate, comparative epidemiological characteristics of these infections for the period 2004–2015 in the territories subject to ionizing radiation from natural and technogenically enhanced natural ionizing radiation are provided, and the region as a whole: influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and measles among uranium mining personnel. The inverse correlation between levels of influenza Immunoprophylaxis of their staff and morbidity was determined. The state of population immunity against measles population of the region is determined and evaluated; its post-vaccination levels among children living in the territories of functioning of uranium-mining enterprises, in comparison with children of other territories of the region are characterized. Measures to strengthen preventive and anti-epidemic measures against influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and measles at the regional level have been substantiated and implemented.
