Dykun Z. Principles of architectural planning organization of maritime passenger terminals during reconstruction

A new typological unit – "maritime passenger terminals" (MPT) is scientifically substantiated in the thesis. An analysis of the evolution of the architecture of maritime transport passenger service facilities is performed with the identification of four historical stages of formation, the experience of construction and reconstruction of domestic and foreign maritime passenger terminals is considered and the main factors influencing the formation of maritime passenger terminals are reviewed. The technique of designing new and reconstruction of existing marine terminals is proposed. Urban planning approaches to locations and aspects of formation of maritime passenger terminals at different territorial levels (region, settlement pattern, city, site) are considered. The functional and technological structure of modern maritime terminal is identified, and recommendations are given to consider the impact of new functionally technological requirements on the architectural and planning organization of the terminals. A new functional area – "Intermodality Zone" – is identified and substantiated. Suggestions for project norms for the placement of technological equipment of the main functional zones and the regulatory areas of the main groups of premises are provided, a modern classification of marine terminals is developed. The thesis states basic principles of architectural and planning organization of terminals and the principles of formation of communicative areas are considered separately.Nomenclature of maritime terminals is proposed. Practical recommendations are given on the methods and techniques of reconstruction, placement on the territory of the port and architectural and planning organization of terminals in accordance with each type of nomenclature. Ideas for the reconstruction of maritime passenger terminals of the Azov-Black Sea coast of Ukraine are given
