The dissertation presents the results of the conducted theoretical and experimental research on determining, grounding and testing the methodic of organization of scientific research activities of future geography teachers during the vocational training process and a set of pedagogical terms that ensure its effectiveness. The conceptual basics have been clarified, the specifics and constituents of future geography teachers’ scientific research activities have been identified, the principles, which are guaranteeing the research orientability of the future geography teachers’ vocational training, have been directed. The functions have been shown, and the significance of the students’ scientific research activities has been confirmed. In thesis the students’ scientific research activities has been inherently defined as a process of purposeful search for academically and practically oriented professionally meaningful information, and by its content – as a dynamic systemic object, which initiates and provides to creation by students of the new objective system-organized and grounded knowledge. The content, structure and stages of scientific research activities of future geography teachers have been revealed; the criteria (motivational readiness, methodological literacy, research competence, productivity of search actions), performances and levels of their organization during the vocational training process have been highlighted. The analysis of scientific-theoretical and practical experience has been carried out, the pedagogical terms of organization the scientific research activities of future geography teachers during the vocational training process have been substantiated, namely: creation of a professional-research environment in HEI, which ensures the integrity of becoming an innovative personality of a future geography teacher; realization of individual students’ research routes and professional perspectives on the basis of integration of professional training and practical and methodological training; competent pedagogical management of the gradual inclusion of students in the system of scientific research work, and monitoring their personal achievements together with ICT and tools. A comprehensive methodic and the content of the pedagogical experiment have been developed and clarified, and the effectiveness of pedagogical terms for the organization of scientific research activities of future geography teachers in the vocational training process have been confirmed.
