The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of the theoretical and legal and practical aspects of the implementation of municipal reform in Ukraine and the Member States of the European Union in the context of European interstate integration. The paper considers the conceptual bases for determining the essence and importance of municipal reform, analyzes the legal regulation of municipal reform in the complex of constitutional and sectoral legal processes of transformation of local self-government, identifies the constituent components of municipal reform - the relation of the entity itself with the entity.
