Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of the effects of proximal gastric resection with resection of the esophagus associated with anastomosis in patients with esophageal and esophagogastric junction cancer through the development and use of invagination mechanical esophagogastroanastomosis. It is shown experimentally that the invagination mechanical esophagogastroanastomosis has the characteristics of high and sufficient sealing of the stiches to prevent its leakage. The developed method in annual dynamics contributed to the reduction of both the frequency and the degree of severity of endoscopic and histological manifestations of reflux esophagitis, the reduction of both the frequency and the risk of development of postoperative benign strictures, no anastomotic leak was observed. The benefits of invagination mechanical esophagogastroanastomosis over circular mechanical esophagogastroanastomosis in the quality of life of patients with specific gastrointestinal symptoms (EORTC QLQ-OG25 module), such as: reflux, pain and discomfort in the stomach, eating problems, have been demonstrated.
